The welcome screen starts you on a head or a cube and imports your own mesh in one click, the radial hub gets one outer ring with Display and Scene buttons, and the Fire material's light now travels with its object.

New

Head and Cube sample scenes

The welcome screen starts you on a sculpted head at scene size or a cube at 70% of it, and a new Import mesh button brings your own model in straight away.

Improved

Deformer influence is smooth and automatic

A curve fully moves every part it runs through, however thick, and fades softly into the body only where it starts, with no dead patches, hard rims or creases inside bends; Root fade sets how far that fade reaches.

Radial hub: one ring, Display, Scene

The hub's outer buttons now sit on one continuous ring, with new Display (shading, smooth or faceted, wireframe, floor disk, stroke sound) and Scene (save, save increment, new scene) buttons on the right, and Mask is no longer on the hub.

Fire light follows its object

The glow a Fire material throws on the scene stays on its object as you move it, and a new Size slider sets how big and soft the light source is.

Tool card remembers its size per tool

The tool card at the bottom of the sidebar keeps the height and open or closed state you gave it for each tool: Clay, Polygone and Paint brushes share one, all Mask brushes share another, and every other tool keeps its own.

Fixed

  • Taking the Fire material off an object now turns its light and glow off, instead of leaving them lit until you edited the material
  • Thin outlines around buttons and panels are clean, even lines instead of broken, jagged ones
  • A new Backdrop faces the same way as a Diorama, instead of opening toward the back
