New

Mirror tool Spatial mode

The Mirror tool has a new Spatial mode that cuts the mesh exactly on the mirror plane, removes the other side and replaces it with a mirror of the kept side, with the vertices on the centre line merged. The result can be one merged mesh or the kept half with a live mirrored instance. Picking an edge on the centre line places the plane along that edge’s whole loop, and the plane is shown in the viewport, where a Custom plane can be moved and rotated with the gizmo. The previous Spatial mode is now called Topology, and the dialog has a new layout.

Delete UVs

A mesh’s imported UVs can be removed with Delete UVs. The UV seams are welded, so the mesh stays closed.

Improved

Tessellation keeps UVs

The Tessellation tool and brush tessellation work on meshes with imported UVs and keep them. New triangles take their UVs from the surrounding surface, so textures stay in place, and UV seams keep their original edges.

Tessellation mode wheel

Holding Y opens a wheel with Densify on the left and Adaptive on the right; releasing over one sets the current brush’s tessellation mode and turns tessellation on. Tapping Y still toggles tessellation.
